Detailed description
About the product
Plopp, or "Polish People's Object Pumped with Air," is a symbol of Oskar Zięta's research into the properties and potential of metal. The stool proves how the artistic aspects of design can be summarized in highly advanced technological solutions. The item is the winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2008, the German Design Council Award 2008 and the Forum AID Award 2009. Plopp is a manifesto of FiDU technology and the "controlled loss of control" process.
Thanks to Oskar Zięta's unique metal forming technology, Plopp is lightweight and durable. It meets the tenets of sustainability and manufacturing in three basic dimensions. First, it is made entirely of a single material, thus meeting the tenets of the ever-popularized direction of so-called "monomaterial thinking. Plopp has great recycling potential.
About the designer
The designer of this unique item is Oskar Zięta, whose innovative approach to metal production is evident in every detail of the products. Zięta uses advanced technology and the process of material deformation, which turns every seemingly ordinary object into a unique work of art.
About the brand
Zieta Studio's objects straddle the line between art and technology. They reflect Oskar Zieta's research into the physical properties of steel, captured in the FiDU production method. Uneven planes with artistic deformations provoke our gaze, encouraging us to see reality from a different perspective. Optically subtle, they embrace a state-of-the-art metalworking technique in which sustainability plays a key role. These include mirrors that resemble sculptures and sculptures that resemble mirrors. Collector's items that will last for generations.
